CPSC has determined that there are unreasonable pinch injuries and other dangers in adult portable bed rails (APBRs). In response to this risk, the Consumer Product Safety Commission of the United States is promulgating a rule according to the Consumer Product Safety Act (CPSA), requiring adult portable crib bars to meet the requirements of the current voluntary standard ASTM F 3186–17 for adult portable crib bars, and revising it.
